Family Dinner - Lava Stone Grill

Our tradition of a monthly family dinner continued on Friday night when we went out to Lava Stone Grill in Mt Lawley.
It was Tari's choice and after the meal she was praised up for her excellent choice of venue - although we believe it was recommended to her by her friend Sophie.
The meals are served pretty much as raw meat on a VERY hot piece of stone (approx 400 deg C). You then leave the meat there to cook for as long as you want on the retained heat in the stone.
The wine was a lovely soft NZ Merlot.
We rated this place as one of the best that we've been to for quite a while.

Beer - ahhhhhhh!!

After being inspired by a trip to Broome earlier in July, my good friend Chris and I decided to go halves in a home-brew of Ginger Beer.

We bottled it (well - put it into cans) earlier today. Got to say it was surprisingly sweet (and clear - looked like lemonade). I don't expect these cans will last too long..... They are VERY easy to drink......

A night at the Rugby.....

Just went to the Rugby at Subiaco as a guest of ACM. Elodie and her friend Alex went too. We watched on as the Springboks demolished the Wallabies. Coffee in Leederville after the match where we met Ed's friend Sam was a good way to round out the evening...

First Post

Wow - Ok - First one of these I've ever done.

I wonder how it works.......

Cheers
Stephen.
